What Does a Master Plumber Do?

Back in August of 2020 Patterson Fuels added master plumber Scott Gagnon to their team! Scott brings over 37 years of plumbing and HVAC experience to the team. Since then, Scott has had many requests for his plumbing service. In today’s blog we will take a deeper dive into what Scott does for our customers.

Leaky Faucet Repair – Whether it be a leaky kitchen faucet, bathroom faucet, or outdoor faucet Scott has the skills to get that faucet repair or replaced as needed. Scott sources faucets from both F.W Webb and the Granite Group. Scott says if you are not sure which faucet, you’d like to check out the large showroom at F.W. Webb in Williston.

Kitchen Plumbing – Got a leaking pipe under your kitchen cabinet or need to have a garbage disposal installed? Scott is your guy. Scott will come to out assess the situation and repair it the same day if the parts are available on his truck. For a garbage disposal install, Scott will come out for a site visit to get a time and material list then give you an estimate on the install. The typical turnaround time for this service can run less than a week in the summertime.

Toilet Repair or Replacement – Scott recently helped one of our customers with their leaking toilet. Scott was able to immediately identify the issue which was a bad seal and failed floorboard under the toilet. Scott was then able to help the customer with contractor recommendations to have the floor looked at and repaired before he installed the new toilet.

Water Line Repair – Is one of your water lines dripping? Whether you have the newer style pex pipe or the traditional copper pipe, Scott is able to quickly make a repair to stop your leaking pipe.

Sillcock Replacement – This might be one of Scott’s most requested services this summer. With the little to no rain, we have been receiving customers are watering their lawn and gardens more than ever. When replacing your sillcock Scott will go over your different options. Our favorite is the new frost-free quarter-turn ones. No more turning your sillcock 10 times to get water while you listen to that terrible squeaking noise.

Water Heater Repairs and Installations – Are you running out of water with your current water heater or maybe it is just time it gets an upgrade? Scott is here to help! He will first come out for a free site visit to evaluate your wants and needs. After your site visit, Scott will be able to get you an estimate on what it could cost to have a new water heater installed. Once your estimate is signed and approved Scott and his team can have your water heater installed in just a few short days.

Scott’s favorite part about being a master plumber is helping people. He enjoys meeting new customers and creating relationships that last a lifetime. Here in the office, we often take requests for Scott to be the repairman even if it is not plumbing-related. Scott’s motto is, “if you truly love your job, you will never work a day in your life.”
